Our U15s performed really well in this year’s County Tournament, dominating in every match until the final where they narrowly missed out on Plate victory by only two goals. The girls have used today as their stage to show off how much they’ve improved and grown together in the last year. They have been dedicated all year round by attending lunchtime netball every week and putting in the work from the get go. This has had a huge impact on the maturity of their match play and consistency. The girls chose their player’s players this tournament to be Florence Sweeney and Cesca Algar-Pattinson. This was very well chosen as Florence scored 27 goals in the tournament with an accuracy of 87% whilst Cesca worked hard in defence with around 20 interceptions throughout the day! Coach’s players went to both Nina Fisher (Captain) and Holly Cooke (Vice Captain) although it was a difficult decision as all the girl gave their best performance to date. Nina Fisher scored 27 goals in the tournament with 82% accuracy whilst Holly Cooke had 8 intercepts, created countless opportunities through court and delivered accurate and consistent passes into the shooters. Every girl put in 100% effort and made every second count with Lucy Chadwick (Vice Captain) making 11 intercepts throughout the day and Eleanor Every, Tilly Leonard and Seren Garratt all made around 5 intercepts each. It was a day to remember and certainly a performance to be proud of… well done girls!
